Julius Berg Kaasin is the head of Brækhus' Technology department and is known for his expertise in intellectual property (IP), dispute resolution and retail. He assists businesses with establishment, enforcement, and commercialization of all IP rights. In addition to retail and technology, Julius primarily works with energy, creative industries and life sciences. As a former in-house lawyer, Julius is dedicated to finding good commercial solutions. He has also litigated several major IP cases in court, and has an extensive international network.

Under Julius' leadership, both him and Brækhus IP practice has earned recognition domestically and abroad, including major legal rankings such as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, IAM Strategy 300 and The Annual Norwegian Lawyer Survey by Kapital.

Julius is passionate about IP and serves as a board member of several key IP associations such as NIR/AIPPI Norway and LES Scandinavia. He is also an active writer, superviser and examiner, as well as a popular speaker.
