Employment Law

Employment law is a complex field in which difficult issues frequently arise, and the regulations are subject to continual change. Our employment lawyers assist with sensitive personnel matters, ongoing advice to HR, business transfers, restructuring and downsizing and when conflicts arise in the workplace.

Our employment lawyers have extensive experience of all types of matters relating to working life, acting for employers, employers’ associations, employees and trade unions alike.

We work closely with our clients, and many use us as a sounding board for ongoing HR-related questions. We have broad expertise in advisory work, negotiation and dispute resolution, and appear regularly before the courts. Most matters are nonetheless resolved out of court.

Restructuring, downsizing and business transfers

Change processes place demands on both procedure and timing. We assist throughout – from planning and consultation with employee representatives, to selection, implementation and any subsequent disputes.

In business transfers, we advise on whether the rules apply, on the duty to inform and consult, and on the employment law consequences for employees and existing agreements.

Personnel matters and conflict management

We assist in difficult personnel matters, with whistleblowing and whistleblowing procedures, in harassment cases, and with fact-finding and investigations. In matters concerning notice, summary dismissal and suspension, we advise both on the preceding process and on any dispute that follows.

Interdisciplinary advice

Certain employment law issues call for lawyers with expertise in other fields, for example M&A, company law, global mobility or tax and VAT. We are organised to work across disciplines, so that our clients have access to the best available expertise at all times.

Our lawyers are sought-after speakers and hold regular courses and webinars on employment law topics.
