Atle H. Carlsen is a Managing Partner/CEO at Brækhus, a role he has held since April 2023.

Atle has more than 20 years of management experience from, among other places, the Norwegian Armed Forces and from professional services, as Managing Director/CEO at one of Norway’s biggest law firms.

He has more than 10 years of experience in the area of strategy and business development, organisational development, cost efficiency and change management from the role as Managing Consultant at Arthur D. Little and with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

He has also held several management positions in the area of HR at the Nordic, European and global levels with BCG. Furthermore, he has managed resource allocation at BCG at the global level and has managed the Global People Team and BCG for several years.

During the period 2016-2023, Atle was the Managing Director/CEO of Selmer Law Firm. The firm implemented considerable improvement measures during this period and expanded geographically, in new areas of expertise, as well as financially. Selmer can refer to strong annual financial growth during this period.

Atle holds an MBA from IESE Barcelona, a Bachelor of International Business and is a graduate of the Norwegian Military Academy and the Officer Candidate School of the Norwegian Armed Forces.
