Monday January 13th Brækhus was honoured to host DefenseForum in cooperation with AmCham and the US Commercial Service.
The event was chaired by AmChams Ragnhild Dalen and head of Brækhus team for Defence and Security Petter Sverstad Eriksen.
We especially want to thank our two prominent speakers – Chief of Defence General Eirik Kristoffersen and Lead Researcher at FFI (former Chief of Defence) General (R) Sverre Diesen.
The speakers provided an interesting combination of thoughts on supplementing topics.
Diesen gave an analysis of the current security environment in Europe and for Norway light of the US election.
The Chief of Defence then provided a thorough insight into how Norway’s Defence pledge of more than NOK 1 600 billion will be utilized to significantly increase Norway’s defence capability. He also challenged the industry to provide the armed forces with rapid innovation, affordable mass in equipment and systems combined with scalable production solutions. All in close cooperation with the armed forces.
Thank you also to all the participants for active questions, comments and for ensuring the event was filled to capacity.
