Marie Meland
Marie Meland advises Norwegian and international companies on corporate law, M&A, contract and commercial law, as well as data protection (GDPR). She particularly works with corporate matters, transactions, the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, and issues relating to compliance with data protection regulations.
Marie has experience from both the public sector and private legal practice. Prior to joining Brækhus, she worked as a Senior Adviser at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, where she worked with contract law, data protection and regulatory matters. She has previously worked at Wiersholm, where she was part of the firm’s Corporate/M&A team and advised on corporate law matters and transactions.
Marie is qualified both as a Norwegian lawyer and as an English solicitor. She lived in England for nine years in connection with her studies and professional career and has several years of experience from English law firms. Through her international background, she has a strong understanding of cross-border legal issues and experience advising on matters with international aspects.
