Charlotte Holmedal Gjelstad

Senior Lawyer

Gjelstad is part of our tax team where she offers legal advice to small and medium sized businesses concerning Norwegian and international VAT in addition to Customs and excise duties. She has been involved as an advisor on several larger VAT audits for both Norwegian and international clients, specifically concerning Norwegian VAT-liability on cross-border projects. Ms. Gjelstad is currently specialising in VAT on immovable property.

Gjelstad has, during her time as an associate represented several clients in various legal disputes. She received her licence to practice law in March 2016.

Gjelstad offers lectures on a regular basis for accounting- and advisory firms concerning the applicable VAT-requirements and obligations for VAT-able businesses.

Honorary

Ms. Gjelstad wrote her master thesis for the Norwegian Tax Office (skatt Vest) concerning the applicable VAT exemptions in the oil industry with emphasis on business performed both within and outside the Norwegian VAT area.
